Coming in a standard 100ml bottle with 0mg of nicotine and a 50/50 VG/PG ratio, Scorpions Blood could very easily be missed amongst the myriad of brands on the shelves. As you’ll find from our review below, it’s a shame really, as many vapers are missing out on a quality e-liquid.
I initially tested this e-liquid with the OXVA Xlim Pro. As a 50/50 vape juice it seamed the perfect fit for a pod device. I found right away that the blackcurrant notes were at the forefront. The Xlim Pro seems to draw out the deeper, more complex layers of blackcurrant and the more I vaped, the more I wanted!
Looking for a heavier hit, I tested the flavour out with the VOOPOO Drag H40 using a 0.45 Ohm VM3 PNP coil. Being an MTL device, I found it was better able to bring out the subtler taste of the grapes. With this set up, I was treated to a rich and full-bodied vape that grape enthusiasts will particularly appreciate.
It’s fascinating how the hardware can influence the subtleties of flavour, with two different kits profiling different elements of the e-liquid’s rich profile. One thing that carried across both kits was its aftertaste. It leaves a pleasantly sweet and fruity residue on the palate that lingers, urging you to come back for more. It’s not overwhelming but rather just the right level of persistence that makes this flavour moreish.
All in all, I think that Scorpion Blood’s Blackcurrant Grape Apple is a masterful blend of sweet and tangy notes. With every drag, the sweetness hits the palate, revealing the careful craftsmanship behind the flavour. The blackcurrant and grape notes harmonise perfectly, and the subtle hint of apple that brings a refreshing finish.
As a reviewer, I found myself particularly enjoying the Blackcurrant Grape Apple flavour from Scorpion Blood. It strikes the right balance between sweet and tangy, without any one fruit overshadowing the others. It’s a well-rounded flavour that should appeal to a broad range of vapers, especially those who favour fruit-based e-liquids.
Whether you’re vaping DTL or MTL, you’ll uncover different nuances of this complex and satisfying blend. If you’re in the market for a new fruit-flavoured e-liquid, this offering from Scorpion Blood is certainly worth a try.
