Which FreeMax product do beginners prefer?
The Twister 2 is one of our best options for starters, and it's a pretty great all-in-one package. Plus, there's a button with a lovely little LED light that tells you how much juice you've got left in the tank. It comes with mesh coils so you can just fill it up with your favourite e-liquid and start vaping. One thing to keep in mind is that you don't need to buy extra batteries, chargers, or accessories – you can just plug and play. The 30W Twister is another excellent option if you're after even lower power and want to be able to use both MTL and DTL coils.
How long do FreeMax coils last?
Under normal use, a standard FreeMax mesh coil will last you a good week or so. The special type of wicking they use, along with the SS904L mesh, really helps prolong the life of the coil. However, if you're vaping pretty heavily, using super sweet e-liquids or pushing the coils to their limits, you can expect them to last around 3 - 5 days. To maximise the lifespan of your coils, it is advisable to adhere to the recommended power levels for each coil.
Are FreeMax products compatible with other brands?
Most FreeMax tanks and mods use standard 510 threading, so pretty much any tank should be able to fit on any mod (well, almost). Drip tips usually use the standard 810 size, so it's not too difficult to swap things around. But be warned: FreeMax coils are a bit special to their own tank line; you can't just swap out a coil from another brand. But within their range, there is some cross-compatibility – for example, the Fireluke 3 can take coils from the Fireluke 2 and Fireluke Mesh, and the M Pro 2 works with all M Pro and Fireluke Pro coils.
What's the main difference between Fireluke and Maxus?
Fireluke focuses on the tank and coil aspects, prioritising optimal flavour and vapour production. They've got a range of tanks, from really compact ones that are perfect for flavour-focused vaping to bigger sub-ohm options. Maxus, on the other hand, is all about the mods and kits – it's the power source. When you buy a Maxus kit, you get a mod (either 100W or 200W) paired up with a Fireluke or M Pro tank. That means you get a bit more power, the ability to swap out batteries, and some nice advanced features like temperature control.
