How long does the 3200mAh battery last?
At 30–35W, you can expect around 8 to 10 hours of use; it just depends on how often you vape and what you're doing. At 50-58W, it'll drain faster, but the bigger battery is still a big winner compared to most standard pod systems. USB Type-C charging at 2A gets you a full top up in about an hour and 45 minutes.
What coils are compatible?
The Aegis Force works with Geekvape B Series Boost coils – that's the 0.2Ω coil that comes pre-fitted, plus the 0.4Ω one that comes in the box. And then there are higher resistance options, like 0.8Ω and above, which are perfect for MTL vaping and nicotine salts.
Can I use both nic salts and freebase e-liquids?
Yes, you can use both – though the type of hardware you use will depend on what you're after. If you're into high powered vaping and aren't too fussed about blowing massive clouds, lower resistance coils like 0.2Ω and 0.4Ω are best for freebase e-liquids and higher VG blends. But if you're after a more laid back MTL (mouth-to-lung) vape at lower wattages, then higher resistance coils are the way to go with nicotine salts. Please ensure that you are using the appropriate combination of coils, e-liquid, and power level.
Is the Aegis Force leak proof?
To be fair, the design of the Aegis Force does help reduce the risk of leaking compared to some of the pod systems you might be used to, but no system is totally leakproof here. The Aegis Force operates by allowing air to flow in from the top, above the coil chamber, which helps reduce the risk of leaks. But you might still get a bit of condensation building up around the drip tip or pod connection – that's just normal use, sadly. Regularly cleaning the area where the pod attaches will ensure it continues to function properly.
What's the difference between Smart Mode and Power Mode?
In Smart Mode, the Aegis Force will work out the resistance of the coil you've got in and auto limit the power to a suitable level. That's excellent if you're new to vaping or just want things to be straightforward. Power Mode is for the more experienced vapers – you can set the power level yourself, from 5W all the way up to 80W. The mode can be changed with the fire button and the display on the device.
