The OXVA Xlim SQ is a compact pod vape kit that packs a punch. The latest product in the Xlim series, this device is lauded for its ability to deliver “X-treme” flavour.
Inside the box you get the OXVA Xlim SQ device, two 2ml Xlim pod cartridges – one 0.6 ohm (20 to 25 Watts) and one 0.8 ohm (12 to 16 Watts) – a lanyard, one USB C charging cable and a sticker pack to customise your device.
I can’t put it down! As someone who normally prefers a bigger mod and a higher wattage, I’m pleasantly surprised by how good the OXVA Xlim SQ actually is.
I was a little dubious about getting this vape kit at first, as the device looks tiny in my hands. Had it not been recommended to me by Dave (SMKD’s ultimate authority on vape kits), I wouldn’t have picked it up. Important note – Always listen to Dave!
The OXVA Xlim SQ is designed to be compact and easy to carry, either in your pocket or on the free lanyard around your neck. Having tried both, I prefer the lanyard, as it’s quick and easy for me to vape on the go without having to fumble around in my pocket or remember where I left it last!
Despite its size, the aluminium body gives this vape kit some reassuring weight in your hand. Coupled with the sturdy metal chain, this vape kit gives off a real premium feel, despite being available at such a great price.
The OXVA Xlim SQ comes in a unique range of colours. My personal favourite is solid black, but for those with more style than me, it also comes in gold, pink and blue, as well as a number of dual tone options such as purple/black, Arctic Blue (blue/white), gold/blue and pink/green.
This is the first auto draw kit I’ve used in a long time, and I forgot just how convenient a feature like that is when you’re on the go. Just inhale, it’s that simple.
As this is a pod kit, the tank and coil are combined into a single cartridge, which means there’s no clean-up required when the coil burns out. You just fill up a new pod and away you go.
With the cartridges sporting a thin mouthpiece, the OXVA Xlim SQ is designed to be used as a mouth to lung device, replicating the feel of smoking a regular cigarette.
As someone who usually vapes direct to lung I thought switching to MTL would degrade the vaping experience (as I found when trying disposable vapes), but the opposite is true and the OXVA Xlim SQ delivers a considerable hit for its size.
Another nice feature is the ability to control the airflow thanks to the slider on the side. I tend to keep this fully open so I can take more in, but closing it up partially or completely can give a closer feel to smoking a real cigarette, which is a big yes for me if you intend on using this device to quit smoking.
A final note on usability: I’ve been using this vape kit for just over 24 hours since it’s last full charge, and I’m surprised at just how long the battery lasts. I’ve refilled the pod four or five times during that period, and the battery has only just dropped below 30%. Really pleased!
I tested this device out with DNA Vape’s Blueberry Razz Lemonade e-liquid and, compared with my usual mod (an older VooPoo Drag mod), the flavour hit is immense. That being said, it’s incredibly smooth, there’s no harshness to this what-so-ever.
If you’re looking for a compact and convenient vape kit, then the OXVA Xlim SQ is a winner. It’s lightweight, easy to set up and use, and delivers a fantastic hit of flavour smoothly and efficiently.
