As many of you know, this year SMKD took part in the JCI Bradford Secret Santa Appeal. Our Bradford, Kirklees, and Calderdale stores collected donations to be given to children in poverty this Christmas. We are delighted to say the appeal was a great success, all thanks to you!
We have collected 90 presents in total that are all now being sorted, ready to be sent to families in need. That means 90 children will now have a present to open on Christmas morning. We understand this year is a struggle for many of us. Therefore, we want to thank everyone who went out of their way to donate a gift.
We want to give a special thanks to the employees of OpenReach Leeds, who went above and beyond with their generosity. The SMKD staff put a huge amount of effort into the Secret Santa Appeal and we are so grateful for their work. We also want to give a special thanks to Lisa at our John Street Store. She did an excellent job promoting the campaign and collecting the donations. We wouldn’t have been half as successful without her dedication.
These presents will hopefully give a bit of joy to the local children, who otherwise would have gone without. Everyone who took part in the Secret Santa Appeal has made such a massive difference this holiday season. We are in awe of the response the campaign received in such short notice.
Finally, we want to wish a Merry Christmas to all of our Secret Santas from everyone here at SMKD.
