Secret Santa 2023 – Giving Back To Local Communities

As the festive season approaches, our team are gearing up to give something back to our local communities, and we’d like to invite you to help out too, by donating a gift to this year’s Secret Santa Appeal.

Following on from the success of last year’s appeal, we’re teaming up again with the JCI Bradford Secret Santa Appeal to extend joy and hope to those in need.

Last year, with the support of our fantastic vaping community, we collected 90 gifts that brought smiles to children in poverty across Bradford, Kirklees, and Calderdale. In 2023 we’re aiming to beat that and collect at least 100, but we need your help to do it.

Between 24th November and 7th December 2023, our stores will act as collection points ready to welcome your kind-hearted donations. Every gift, regardless of its size or value, holds the potential to paint a big smile on a child’s face, making their Christmas morning a magical moment. In a time when the warmth of giving combats the chill of hardship, your generosity could be the beacon of joy that lights up a child’s world.

You can make a donation by dropping a gift off at any SMKD Store. Locate your nearest SMKD store using our Store Locator.

Same Day Delivery

If you qualify for our same day delivery service, you can place your order as normal and give your donation to our delivery driver when we bring your order.

By Post

If you can’t make it to one of our stores, and don’t qualify for our Same Day Delivery Service, you can still donate by posting a donation to the following address:

Donation Guidelines

  1. No food/sweets/chocolate – For safeguarding reasons, these cannot be passed on to the children.
  2. Nothing too expensive – These gifts will be going to children in difficult circumstances and we do not want to make them a target or victim of theft. £5-£10 is probably the average spent per gift.
  3. Don’t wrap the gift – Wrapping is not required as all gifts must be checked before distribution for safeguarding reasons. Wrapped gifts have to be opened and checked which causes delays and sometimes it is a waste of your money if the wrapping is no longer useful.
  4. No Personal notes and cards – please do not include notes and cards with gifts as they will not be passed on to the child.
