Vape Coils
Coils are responsible for heating the e-liquid in your vape kit and turning it into vapour. This occurs when the battery heats the coil – a wire that wraps around the wicking material – which, in turn, warms the e-liquid and produces vapour.
Vape Kits often come with a pre-installed coil that can be replaced once they burn out. It is important to clean and replace your coils frequently as the device can become clogged.
Coil Resistance
Higher Resistance Coils
Higher Resistance coils are those that are above 1.0ohm. They offer a smoother throat hit and less vapour for a feeling more similar to a traditional cigarette. This is called Mouth to Lung vaping, which is most suitable for beginners and those who vape for the sole purpose of quitting smoking.
Lower Resistance Coils
Lower resistances produce a stronger throat hit and more vapour. Using coils with a resistance below 1.0ohm is often referred to as Sub-Ohm vaping. This style is more commonly known as Direct to Lung (or DTL) and is recommended for more experienced vapers.
